Forecast is focused on bringing awareness to the idea of political will in the problems concerning the oceans around the world and the petrol-chemical throw-away products that are massing in areas the size of Texas. There seems to be a disconnect - while there is a public outrage over an oil spill in the gulf and the public demanded the oil be cleaned up - there isn't the same level of outrage about the petroleum being spread about the oceans in the form of plastics? Is it because we are partly to blame? Or because we have a hard time understanding that it too is just as damaging to our eco-system?
